These are Old Glory USA Red “G” Stamps. Not just one or two, or even a sheet or two. Our auction is for 100 full sheets of stamps. Totalling 10,000 stamps.
What’s the deal with these stamps? Well, on December 13, 1994 the Postal Service issued nondenominated “G” stamps (Old Glory stamps). They were created to support the new postage rates that were going into effect January 1, 1995. They were intended to be used for “US Addresses Only.” Interesting fact - by the time that the stamps were actually in use, the Universal Postal Union allowed these stamps to be used for foreign-bound mail too.
