You take the Senshi Erai Hito No Daisho Set into combat as you head off the enemy on the battlefield. Strive for victory in battle. This sword set includes two functional swords. There is a katana and a wakizashi. Both swords have curved blades, typical of Japanese swords. Made from folded 1095 high-carbon steel, the blades have a clay-tempered, Honsanmai construction. A Honsanmai construction is a common Japanese blade construction style. The blades cross section has four sections of steel. There is soft steel at the top center with hard steel below it. On each side of the center, there is a section of medium steel. A wide fuller runs down the length of each blade. Also, they have medium-length tips, or chu-kissaki.

The swords continue with blackened iron crossguards, also called tsubas. Then, the hilts have hardwood handles. Brown silk wraps around the yellow ray skin-covered handles in a battle style, or katate-maki. They feature silver-plated ornaments, called menuki. The other ends of the hilts have blackened iron pommels.

Finally, this sword set comes with black wooden scabbards, called sayas. The scabbards have ray skin at the tops. The sword set also come with a certificate of authenticity. Bring this sword set to your next reenactment or add it to your weaponry collection. 1095HC steel blade. Katana: 41" overall with 28" blade; Wakizashi: 31" overall with 20" blade. Polished shita-kitae folded blade with wide bo-hi, genuine clay tempered hamon and beautiful chu-kissaki. Hardwood tsuka is katatemaki-wrapped in brown silk ito and features silver plated menukis with silver lined iron tsuba, kashira and fuchi. The same, made of colored rayskin, sets the final touch on the luxurious koshirae. Boxed.
